Meet Steve

What is your background and education?
I am a native of Winter Park, Florida, and earned a Master’s in Accounting with a Tax Specialization from The University of Florida. I began my CPA career with two respected local CPA firms, where I worked for 8 years. Afterward, I spent 12 years as a Controller/CFO for two large nonprofit organizations. In 2008, I started my own firm to reconnect with small business owners, and in January 2022, I merged my practice with JTC CPAs.

What are your areas of expertise in the accounting/bookkeeping field?
My expertise includes auditing, tax preparation, and CFO-level experience. I have worked both as an in-house accountant and as an outside consultant, with a current focus on LLCs, S Corporations, Partnerships, and their owners.

Any certifications or awards?
I am a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed by the Florida Board of Accountancy. I am also a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and QuickBooks Pro Certified.

What service are you passionate about in the accounting field?
I am passionate about helping small businesses navigate the complexities of the Internal Revenue Code. I particularly enjoy showing clients the tax savings they can achieve by working with a professional tax preparer.
